More Family Time

Mom & Russ came down to visit this past weekend! It was a
blessing to have them here. We got some things ready for
Abigail's room & ventured out to the boardwalk one day, but
mostly just spent time together - it was good!

Shuff Stuff

We were able to hang out with Craig's parents last week, while
they were in West Palm. Mom Shuff came down every day to
paint Abigail's room for us (thank you!). It is just about ready!

Key West

Craig & I took a little getaway to Key West this weekend. I think it
will be our last official vacation before Abigail is born. It was great
fun, but I didn't realize just how much my body is already slowing
me down. Just 10 more weeks to go!

In our whirlwind trip, we took a trolly tour around the city, ate
on Duvall Street, went to the Southermost point in the
Continental US, found mile marker 0, climbed up a lighthouse
& visited one of the beaches. It was incredibly hot, but beautiful &
we enjoyed our trip!

Key West - Lighthouse

We went up to the top of this Lighthouse.

It was 88 steps up.

Once we got to the top it took us a second to decide if we actually
wanted to go out on the 2 foot ledge surrounding it, but it was worth it!

Hmmm....

We're not really sure what happened. Danielle was reading in the living room and heard a loud crash coming from our back porch. She opened the blinds to find this:

We have a couple of theories, though.
1) It had just rained and then the sun came out. Perhaps the air pressure or temperature changed so fast that the glass simply shattered as it expanded faster than the frame.

2) Aliens came down from Mars and zapped the table with their radar guns. This was for revenge when they abducted me last week and I made a mess of their spaceship.

3) It was John Paul (pictured here). He is a bit mischevious. And he's a law student, too. Enough said.
So, whoever is interested, we've got a free glass table top to whomever would like. We think Waste Management may have already taken it, though.

Family Fun Night & College Cookout

Since I've been home, it's been a whirlwind of activity around here.
I think we are just starting to breath again. It's been much fun
though! Last week our church had another Family Fun Night. Craig
helped lead the church in a quiz game night for the 2nd time this
summer. It was well attended & quite fun!

Then on Saturday we had a cookout for the College & Career
Ministry, which kicked off the new semester. We started the
evening playing volleyball, while hamburgers & hot dogs were
being fired up on the grill. Everyone ate & then Craig was able
to cast vision for the ministry this year. Then we were up until
11 or so playing Mafia -college just wouldn't be the
same w/o that game :)

Baby Shower

Last weekend, I went home where my family threw a
baby shower for me. There was lots of family, some
long time family friends, ladies from our Sunday School
class in the ville, etc. It was a lot of fun! Abigail is
will be sporting some awefully cute outfits for the first
year of her life!

The presents made it home in 3 suitecases :)

Brianna was one of my helpers!

Three generations!
